The exhibition "Four Singaporeans" showcases new works by artists Jaafar Latif, Chieu Shuey Fook, Lim Nang Sing, and Yeh Chi Wei at the Alpha Gallery. Opening on Tuesday, the ceremony will be attended by British painter William Scott. Jaafar, a self-taught batik artist, started exhibiting in 1957 and focuses on batik and acrylic painting. Chieu, known for metal relief art, has held four one-man shows and created works for commercial firms like Singapore Airlines. Lim, a sculptor, gained artistic skills in China and is renowned for his innovative use of materials. Yeh, an oil painter, has led local artists on tours across Southeast Asia and founded the Southeast Asian Art Association. The exhibition runs until April 16.
